Zach Bryan Drops Emotional New Song About A Funeral

Zach Bryan's new song "Pink Skies" is out, and it's amazing.

Bryan has become one of the most powerful voices in country music. He sells out arenas, has wildly passionate fans and makes some of the best music of the past several years.

He recently announced "Pink Skies" was on the way, and it finally dropped Friday. The song tells the story of the funeral of Zach's mother, and when I say it's emotional, I'm not even starting to scratch the surface.

Give it a listen below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Zach Bryan releases new song "Pink Skies."

I'm definitely not the only one with some tears in my eyes, right? It's not just me? Doesn't matter. I'm comfortable enough in my masculinity to admit when a song is emotional.

Damn, that song hits deep into the emotions. For those of you who don't know, Zach Bryan's mom Annette died August 3, 2016 at the age of 49. He's used music to share the profound impact she had on his life.

Given the fact Bryan was only 20 at the time of her death, I can't even begin to imagine the kind of pain he felt. Losing a family member is never easy.

Losing your mother at the age of 20 must be Earth-shattering.

He's dedicated to keeping her memory alive through his music, and "Pink Skies" absolutely gets the job done. It's about the pain of loss and also hope for the future. I'm not sure how anyone could listen to it, and not be emotionally moved. Let me know what you think of the song at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
