'World's Sexiest Athlete' Harnesses The Healing Power Of Running On The Beach & Taking A Dip In The Ocean

German runner Alica Schmidt, also known as the "World's Sexiest Athlete," is putting the final touches on her preparations for the Summer Olympics in Paris. That doesn't just mean working hard either.

Getting yourself in Olympic shape means resting and recovering properly as well. You want to be performing at the highest level possible and doing so with as little pain as you can when going up against the best competition in the world.

Don't get me wrong, hitting the weight room and the track hard are necessary. And a personal best here and there as you're preparing can go a long way too, but so can the healing energy found at the beach.

The time spent in a bikini, out in the sunshine, the sand in between your toes, and, of course, taking a dip in the ocean. There's nothing better than all of that coming together during a day at the beach.

Alica Schmidt's Game Is Coming Together At The Right Time

Alica knows that. That's why she spent some time in South Africa this week making the most of the "healing energy" found at its beaches. Staying healthy is going to be the key.

The 25-year-old isn't leaving any stone unturned as she eyes a spot at the Paris Olympics. She doesn't want a repeat performance of what happened in Tokyo where she was used to promote the Games, but never competed.

Alica is doing everything in her power, including harnessing the healing powers found at the beach, to see some track time this summer. And although she often takes shots at the modeling part of her overall game, she knew the time spent at the beach was the perfect opportunity to feed her social media algorithms.

She has millions of fans, after all, on multiple platforms. They're all certainly going to want to know the kind of work she's been putting in while preparing for the Olympics.

It appears to all be coming together for Alica Schmidt at the right time.  She is taking absolutely no chances here.  She's going to be fully prepared for a serious Olympic run at all costs.

If that means she'll have to spend the afternoon at the beach in her bikini for some serious recovery time, then so be it.  This is what greatness looks like.
