Woman's Ex-Fiancee Married The Mistress He Cheated With & Left His Family For

We all want a happy ending to a story that is filled with lies, cheating, and heartbreak, don't we?  Well, even if we don't, that's exactly what we're going to get.

It's going to take a while to get there and the road will be bumpy and full of obstacles.  There may even be a threat or two along the way, but trust me, we get there.

The woman, who doesn't share her age, but if I had to guess, is in her 20s or 30s took to Reddit to share her story on the day her ex-fiance married his mistress.

She was falsely told by everyone around her that the relationship with the mistress wouldn't last.  But it did, and he tied the knot with the woman he cheated with and left his family for.

The heartbroken woman doesn't know how to feel about it.  She evidently bought the story she was being told about them eventually breaking up and never thought they would marry.

"After he left me, he would come by to see our child and we were intimate the first year and a half of them being together.  I still loved him and wanted to feel like a family and he would give me false hope," she said.

It was one thing to give the woman he cheated with a taste of her own medicine.  But it was a completely different situation to be the other woman in a line of other women.  That's why when she found out that he was sleeping with a coworker and an ex-girlfriend too, she ended the affair.

When she asked her ex why he would marry someone, being that he was a serial cheater, he told her that once he was married the cheating would end.  Now the mistress, who is his new wife, wants to be friends.

She's not too sure about that.  The two of them haven't treated each other well in the past, but at least they co-parent well.  She said, "our child just sees three people that show up to all of his school events and we all see our child nearly every day."

That's a positive spin on things.  Why have just two parents at school events when you can have three or more?  The more, the merrier.

I foreshadowed a threat earlier on and now is where that comes into play.  She has contemplated letting the mistress/wife know about all the cheating her child's father was doing before he was married.  The only problem with that is, he's threatened to pin everything on her.

He would make it seem as if she "lying and crazy and would ruin our co-parenting relationship and take me to court and drown me with legal fees."  To make matters worse, he's a lawyer.

That's a less than ideal situation for sure.  But I did say there was a happy ending, so we're not going to end with threats of legal action.  No matter how much fun that would be.

While it makes her sick to think about all the lies and hurt, she says "we actually do have a positive co-parenting relationship.  He overpays in child support, attends all school events, and never argues with me."

I told you there was a happy ending.  The lying cheater is now another woman's problem.  She's free to find a nice guy who will treat her well, although that's unlikely her type.  Let's not dwell on that right now.

They're co-parenting well, and he overpays in child support.  It's possible I over-delivered here with the happy ending I promised.  This is a near perfect landing if you ask me.

I'm rooting for our storyteller here.  She has the wind at her back and the world is hers for the taking.
