Fan Drops Two Guys During Wild Brawl In The Stands At UFC Fight In Mexico

Most action in the UFC takes place inside the octagon.  There's an occasional spillover from a fight that makes its way into the crowd or a Donald Trump entrance that grabs some attention away from the fighters.

But for the most part, you don't see many brawls breakout in the crowd at UFC events.  If they do, security is there pretty quickly to put a stop to it.  That was not the case on Saturday night at the UFC Fight Night in Mexico City.

There was a decent-sized brawl that took place in the stands between more than half a dozen fans and there wasn't a single member of security in sight.  Fans fought each other until they got tired of throwing punches.

There was one guy in particular, with a heavy left hand, that stood out in the fight.  He's wearing a black hat and shirt when the video of the fighting starts.  By the time the fighting had stopped, he lost his hat while dropping two guys.

Whenever chaos of this magnitude goes down at a sporting event, social media eats it up.  This fight was no different.  A second angle from a couple of rows away from the brawl shows the heavy-handed fan up close as he takes care of business.

Dana White Wasn't Playing The Media's Game After The UFC Fight Night Brawl

While social media seemed to enjoy the extracurricular activity, UFC president Dana White did not.  Probably because during the press conference after the fights he was asked if the fight in the crowd made the UFC look bad.

"The fight in the crowd doesn’t look good for the UFC?  That never happens.  That literally never happens," White responded.  "It happened here in Mexico City.  The crazy thing about that fight, when that fight broke out, it felt like it kept going forever."

"So I ran over there and was watching it.  Nobody stopped it.  I was waiting for security to come in.  They just let them go until it was over," he continued.

"That was one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen.  I don’t think it’s a bad look for the UFC.  It happened and that was the end of that.  I think after everybody saw the end of that sh*t, nobody else wanted to try that again."

"No security.  The fight just went on until it was over.  I’ve never seen any sh*t like that in my life."

Brandon Royval had a decent night, walking away with a win in the main event.  As did Brian Ortega, who won the co-main event.  Arguably nobody had a better night than the fan in the black hat and shirt with the solid left hook.
