Civil War, Hidden Gem Brewery And The Masters | Weekend Recap

Another awesome weekend is in the books, and we all know what that means:

A brand new OutKick Weekend Recap.

This weekend was rather tame, all things considered. I checked out the movie "Civil War" Friday, and as I wrote in my review, I really liked it.

It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but it was very entertaining. It's brutally violent, dark, bloody and shot from the ground perspective of war.

It's not for the faint of heart, and definitely do not bring your kids. You can check out my thoughts further below.

I also discovered a new brewery/taproom in Washington D.C. called Crooked Run. As you all know, I'm a big fan of cold beer with the boys and usually enjoy Coors Banquet or Modelo. By far my two favorite beers, and I really don't like microbrews.

However, I'll occasionally venture out and find a taproom that I really enjoy. Crooked Run is near the movie theater I saw "Civil War" in, and curiosity finally got the better of me after walking past it for years.

I stopped in, and really enjoyed it. The girlfriend and I had a drink (I might have had more than one), and I think Crooked Run is now on my list of spots to check out in D.C. when I get some free time.

Have you been there before or have a spot in D.C. you think I should check out? Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

OutKick readers celebrate the weekend.

As usual, you guys didn't disappoint with your content, and continued to crush it as you all have been week after week. Let's roll.

There was definitely some golf content going on. Not surprising given The Masters was happening.

Spending some time on the mic for a double-header is a fun way to kill time on the weekend.

Man, Texas sure does hit differently.

Drink some water!

People have 8th grade class reunions? I honestly had no idea. You'll also never see me at a class reunion. No chance in hell.

There's nothing better than Las Vegas. I already have my next trip booked, and I absolutely can't wait!

This is also something I'd never heard of before right now, but it looks awesome.

There's always some people who have to work on the weekends, and we tip our caps.

That even includes some yard work.

This is easily one of the most fascinating posts we've ever had in the Weekend Recap. Just an outrageous amount of talent.

Get outside, folks. It's good for you!

It's never a bad time to enjoy a little UFC action.

I know it's April, but it's never a bad time to soak up a little college football.

A lazy morning? Not bad at all.

It's never a bad idea to make sure you have plenty of weapons and ammunition.

Kentucky fans, how are we feeling about Mark Pope?

A little bourbon and the pool? Guys will see this photo and just think, "Hell yeah."

While I'm not a NASCAR guy, I respect those who enjoy it.

It's always a good time to get right with God.

That's a wrap for this week's Weekend Recap. Make sure to check back next week and hit me with all your thoughts and reactions at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
