WATCH: Gas Station Hack Blowing People’s Minds

Life in 2021 can be difficult, so you gotta find small joys where you can.

One of my favorite plebeian "mini games" is racking up exactly $15.00 at the pump by releasing the gas trigger on the dot — showcasing my anticipation as an apex human and saving me money after blowing my week's budget on Robinhood.

If you're tired of scoring $15.04 at the pump and setting off bank alerts, a new TikTok trick is here to show you how you can program a gas station to give you an exact amount of gas without having to rely on the traditional on/off method.

If you press the Clear+Enter buttons at the same time, you can input the exact amount of money you want to spend on gas, saving you the trouble of walking inside the gas station hub and having to peek over the window to check where your car is located.

If you live in a Blue state that has reinstated mask mandates, this may also prevent any excavating through filthy areas of your car's interior in hopes of finding an N95 or choosing from the variety of masks that have been casually discarded on the sidewalks of Los Angeles.

Though it takes away some of my enjoyment at the pump, this new trick will ensure my refuel lands precisely at $15.00, helping me travel another 25 miles in LA before pulling to the next station serving unleaded gas at $5.30 per gallon.
