Taylor Swift Reportedly Makes Decision On Attending Chiefs Super Bowl Parade

Taylor Swift fans hoping to catch a glimpse of her at the Chiefs Super Bowl parade reportedly are in for some serious disappointment.

Kansas City will host a Super Bowl parade for the Chiefs on Wednesday after winning Super Bowl LVIII, and one of the big questions has been whether the music superstar will be in attendance.

In fact, the simple potential of an appearance reportedly was causing security concerns. However, it's apparently not going to happen.

Taylor Swift won't attend Chiefs Super Bowl parade.

An Australian news outlet (via KC.com) reported on Tuesday night that Swift is on her way to the country for some shows, and she might already be in the country as of the time of publication.

However, it hasn't been officially confirmed whether Swift is on the private jet believed to be carrying her to Australia. It's unlikely any confirmation will come as it would be a massive security breach, and such a disclosure isn't publicly mandated.

Swift's first show in Australia is this Friday.

Now, let me put on my big brain hat here for a second and let's get wild with it. Swift has multiple private jets, and she has unlimited access to several more.

Is it possible she sent one jet to Australia early in order to convince people she wouldn't be in attendance? It's certainly possible.

She could send her entourage early, everyone thinks she's on the same plane and then, out of nowhere, she shows up and steals the show today in Kansas City.

Now, do I think that's likely? Probably not. Flying to Australia is a long journey, and she has shows starting in less than 48 hours in the country. Pulling a decoy flight seems a bit unnecessary and downright dumb. My bet is the reporting that she won't appear will turn out to be accurate for many reasons, including the fact securing the route was simply not possible.

Of course, fans will find out soon enough because the parade is getting underway at 11:00 a.m. local time in Kansas City. Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com if you think Swift not attending is the right or wrong call.
