Target Misses Bigly With Fortune Cookie Faux Pas

Target employees from a distribution center in Michigan were surprised with a batch of fortune cookies. While not the typical gift expected from upper management, employees were made aware the day prior that some of the surprise gifts could entail figures on a possible pay raise.

The fortune cookies' cold readings led to plenty of hot heads when some of the Happy-Go-Luckies sounded more like Happy-Go-F***-Yourselves — to absolutely no one's amusement.

Per details provided by Not The Bee, some of the messages in the fortune cookies read: I see money in your future; it is not yours though or The fortune you seek is in another cookie.

With employees left hanging on their high hopes for increased pay, the gauche prank inadvertently led to more socialists that day. Distribution workers were left inspired to eat the rich over their fortune cookies, while others understood the messaging as a candid error by the higher ups.

The disgruntled workers were called together to clarify the situation, which management apologized for before the group. In the end, the raise amounted to $2 dollars a worker, proving that Target's tricks weren't the only cheap thing.
