Several Major Movies Drop Trailers During The Super Bowl

The Super Bowl resulted in several trailers dropping for major movies.

Companies shell out huge money for Super Bowl ad space, and rates this year reportedly were around $7 million for 30 seconds of TV time on CBS.

Hollywood studios used that time to drop short teasers for full-length trailers released on Super Bowl Sunday. Fortunately for all of you, I've compiled everything in one place so that you don't have to go hunting on the web.

Let's dive in!

New movie trailers drop during the Super Bowl.

"Twisters":

Cast: Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos and Daisy Edgar-Jones.

"Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes":

Release date: May 10th

Cast: Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Owen Teague

"Deadpool & Wolverine":

Release date: July 26th

Cast: Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman

"Wicked Part 1":

Release date: November 27th

Cast: Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo and Jeff Goldblum

"The Fall Guy":

Release date: May 3rd

Cast: Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling

"Monkey Man":

Release date: April 5th

Cast: Dev Patel

The last one is for the upcoming TV show "Shogun." It looks awesome, and premieres on FX/Hulu February 27th.

Overall, a very solid lineup of film options, minus "Wicked." There's no chance I spend one second of time watching that, but "Twisters," "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes," "Deadpool & Wolverine" and "Shogun" all look great.

At the very least, the marketing is exceptional, and sometimes that's all it takes.
