Shane Gillis' Best 'SNL' Skit Was Cut, But You Can Watch It Here: VIDEO

"Saturday Night Live" didn't even air Shane Gillis' best skit from the episode he hosted this past weekend.

The superstar comedian took the internet by storm when he hosted the show that fired him five years earlier. Many felt it was a massive sign that the outrage mob is losing.

Instead of Gillis bending the knee, he became so popular and successful that "SNL" had to bow down to him. His performance received overwhelmingly positive reviews, but it turns out his best skit wasn't even in the broadcast.

"SNL" cut amazing Shane Gillis skit.

"Saturday Night Live" ended up releasing a cut skit featuring Gillis and Limu the Emu from the Liberty Mutual commercials, but this one didn't have much to do with insurance.

It was about Limu getting trigger happy and shooting someone in order to get his hands on the man's cocaine. Not only did Limu kill him in cold blood, but then proceeded to plant a revolver on him to make the shooting look justified.

The skit was obviously poking fun at all the tropes of shows and movies about corrupt cops, and it was amazing. Give it a watch below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Why did "SNL" feel of all the skits to cut that this was the one that didn't fit for time? This skit is hilarious. I lost it when Gillis noted the man was unarmed only to see Limu the Emu holding a drop gun.

It's something straight out of "The Shield" or "Training Day." Absolutely hilarious. How can you watch the skit above and not laugh all the way down in your belly?

Admittedly, I don't watch much "Saturday Night Live." I'm not sure anyone really does these days. The show seems to have fallen hard and fast. Perhaps one of the reasons why is because hilarious skits like this one don't make the final cut.

And before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, "SNL" famously had a shooting skit mocking "The OC" several years ago.

It's not a new idea. If the "Dear Sister" skit was allowed and awesome - which is was - then there's no reason to not have included this one.

If "SNL" wants to start bringing back viewers, including skits like this one from Gillis would be a good start. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
