Selena Gomez Goes Viral For Posting A Couple Of Near Wardrobe Malfunction Pics On Instagram

Selena Gomez has been known to use her enormous social media presence to get herself some attention from time to time.  This weekend, the 31-year-old fired up Instagram and dropped a couple of interesting pictures of herself.

Interesting is one way to describe the shots, which feature her in a top that is holding on for dear life.  The look could fairly accurately be described as a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen.

For whatever reason, whether her handlers reached out or the comment section made her change her mind, the pictures didn't last very long on her Instagram feed.  A few hours after Selena shared them with her more than 429 million followers, she decided to delete them.

But with that many followers, nothing that is posted is truly deleted.  The pictures were snagged, distributed across social media, and shall live on across the internet.

It wasn't long before the post and delete had her trending in just about every conceivable fashion.  Was that the goal the whole time?  That's certainly a reasonable theory.

Selena Gomez Can Grab Attention Whenever She Wants

Selena had to have known that simply posting the pictures and keeping them up for a window of time was enough to get her followers to take over the internet for an afternoon.  She hasn't been living under a rock either.

There's a good chance that she's aware of the work Sydney Sweeney has been putting in on the pop culture front as far as boobs are concerned.  They're back, not that they ever really left.

Whatever the case, and we'll likely never know the real reason for the post and delete, she found a way to make some noise in the middle of March Madness.  That's impressive no matter who you are.

Now I'm sure the haters and the censorship crowd will have their version of events.  They can say whatever they want to, if Selena's not ignoring them, she should be.  She can post and delete and still move all the needles.
