Reddit User Roasted For Horrible Las Vegas Dating Advice

A Reddit user is getting cooked after sharing some less than stellar dating advice.

As I often say, I'm a Vegas man through and through. It's an awesome city, and judging from all the emails I get at David.Hookstead@outkick.com whenever I write about it, there are also a lot of Sin City fans that read the site daily.

Glad to see it.

Reddit user shares awful Las Vegas dating advice.

One of the most fascinating corners of the internet is the Las Vegas subreddits. There are two, and both are loaded with fire content. Whether it's hilarious stories, nightmare fuel or someone offering advice, neither subreddit disappoints.

The third option - people giving advice - is what finds us here today. A man released a Reddit thread titled, "To all you 25 year olds who bring your girlfriend to Vegas for the weekend and promptly lose $200 on the tables in an hour:"

A title like that is an immediate click from me every single time. It didn't disappoint. The Reddit user wrote, "Instead, take her to one of the nicest restaurants in THE WORLD, which you never even considered, a fifteen minute walk away for the same money that will leave you both with joyous memories for the rest of your lives."

Buckle up because it's a war in the comments section:

  • Who takes an hour to lose $200 at a table in Vegas? Amateurs.
  • Right? I only need 5 minutes. MAYBE
  • The first time I took my girl to Vegas I went to show her how to play blackjack. I also wanted to impress her a bit so I was playing $100/hand instead of my normal table min (this was awhile ago, I think it was like $10). No joke, I proceed to lose 10 hands in a row. Felted a grand in a couple minutes. I just had to meekly stand up and go, "this isn't how it usually happens" and walk away from the table. I don't think she was too impressed.
  • Whose girlfriend wrote this?
  • Had to make sure mine was sleeping next to me and not on Reddit writing this post.
  • Have you considered taking $400 so you can do both?! 🤯
  • Have you considered that a handsome rich man might offer you a cool mil for an evening with said girlfriend?
  • $200 ain’t getting you much at those restaurants my guy.
  • Smh boooo this guy ! Bro you can do both gamble and take her out.
  • I don’t understand. If you bring your girlfriend to Vegas you can’t gamble?
  • Who brings their girlfriend to Vegas?
  • So you cannot go out to eat after hitting the tables? Must be before?
  • Degenerate mindset. I’m gonna turn that $200 into enough to buy the f*cking restaurant. The only thing stopping gamblers from winning it all are suppressive people like you.
  • It doesn’t take 2 hours to lose $200 in Vegas, maybe 15 minutes. No amazing restaurant is going to feed two for $200 in Vegas.
  • As a girl, I would rather play the tables. No food is worth $200 to me.
  • im guessing you're someones disgruntled girlfriend who's mad at her bf for gambling and not paying you any attention?
  • Who hurt you?

It's always nice to see the internet come together to absolutely cook someone. This is one of the weirdest posts that I've ever seen. It makes me wonder if this person has ever even visited Las Vegas.

First off, as many people pointed out, good luck finding a top level restaurant in Vegas where dinner for two with tax and tip after maybe one or two drinks is only $200. If you know where that is, please let me know. You're easily looking at $200 per person - not total - for a nice dinner in Las Vegas. Have a few nice cocktails and that number will soar.

Second, why does this read like it was written by the most unbearable person on the internet? This is just whining at its worst form. Oh, someone lost $200 gambling in Las Vegas? Cry me a river. Those are baby numbers. That doesn't even elevate my pulse the tiniest bit. Let me know when you're a real degenerate.

Lastly, if you want some low stakes gambling where $200 can go a very long way, head over to Ellis Island a block behind the strip. It has $5 and $10 3:2 blackjack tables. Best gambling in the city for players on a budget, and it'll stop you from ending up in a situation like the one in this Reddit thread. Have a wild Las Vegas story? I definitely want to hear it.
