North Korea Bans Fun Of Any Kind To Commemorate Anniversary Of Kim Jung Il's Death

North Korea is banning fun to properly mourn on the 10-year anniversary of former dictator Kim Jong Il's death. No alcohol, leisure activities, or even grocery shopping, the New York Post reports.

The report also shares that the ban will go into effect for 11 days and began December 17.

"During the mourning period, we must not drink alcohol, laugh, or engage in leisure activities," a resident told Radio Free Asia's Korean Service.

Sadly, anyone that breaks these rules will be arrested.

"In the past many people who were caught drinking or being intoxicated during the mourning period were arrested and treated as ideological criminals. They were taken away and never seen again," the resident said.

Doesn't "never seen again" sound a lot like tortured to death or life in jail? Okay, so it's not just me.

"Even if your family dies during the mourning period, you are not allowed to cry out loud and the body must be taken out after it's over. People cannot even celebrate their own birthdays if they fall within the mourning period," the source added.

A separate source told Radio Free Asia's Korean Service that officers were told in advance to look for people who did not appear sufficiently distraught during the memorial. Holy hell this place sucks.

Could we all imagine a day where President Joe Biden rattled off another drunken sailor's tail and the general public was analyzed for their reactions? No matter how any North Korean feels about the mass murderer that Kim Jong Il was, they're literally forced to cry if they aren't brainwashed from the tireless propaganda. We think it's bad in America with CNN and MSNBC pretending their way is the road to heaven -- well, life can unfortunately get worse.

Perhaps Biden can send Amy Schumer or Trevor Noah to continue the tradition of a laugh-less 11 days?
