Nashville Cops Are Looking For Person Who Threw Lit Fireworks Into Convertible
Nashville police are reportedly investigating a July 4 fireworks incident where lit fireworks were thrown into a convertible stopped at a city intersection. A BMW was stopped at the intersection of Church Street at 17th Avenue North Sunday night when someone in a four-door sedan with tinted windows rolled up, lowered a back window and threw the fireworks into the convertible.
The poster, Kathy Kirby from Hendersonville, TN, added "These people should be held accountable. This could have been so much worse. What if it had landed in the floorboard? " Her son, Colin Kirby, told WKRN-Nashville that bounced off his head and exploded while on top of his convertible cover. Kirby suffered burns to his fingers and is having trouble hearing, but he'll be OK.
“I really would like Metro to make an example out of this so people don’t do this. I hate to say throw book at them, I hate to see peoples lives ruined over dumb stuff but like I said, what if there were kids in the backseat or a whole family’s car right there? It could have killed people,” Colin told the news channel.
As for the date being shown on the dash cam, before you ask about it, Twitter has an answer for that.
