More Than 60,000 People Have Signed Petitions To Keep Jeff Bezos From Returning To Earth

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos will likely feel the same pain that so many suburban housewives have felt when notified that their subscribe and save laundry detergent has been discontinued. That pain can also be described as disappointment. Something Bezos is sure to experience when he becomes aware that more than 60,000 people have signed petitions to keep him from returning to Earth following a July jaunt through space.

Bezos, who has an estimated net worth of $200 billion, announced earlier this month that he plans to fly to space along with his brother Mark and two others via his space tourism company – Blue Origin. Now, the New York Post reports that more than 60,000 people have signed petitions to keep Bezos from returning to planet earth. The signatures have come by way of two separate petitions with the same goal.

Generating the most signatures to date is the aptly named “Do not allow Jeff Bezos to return to Earth” petition. The creator of the petition is quoted as saying: “Billionaire’s should not exist…on earth, or in space, but should they decide the latter they should stay there.”

An equally straight-to-the-point titled spot for signatures is the “Petition To Not Allow Jeff Bezos Re-Entry To Earth.” The author prefers to keep Bezos in space to prevent a potential mass takeover, saying: “(Bezos) worked with the Epsteins and the Knights Templar, as well as the Free Masons to gain control over the whole world. Meanwhile our government stands by and lets it happen. This may be our last chance before they enable the 5G microchips and perform a mass takeover.”

Joining the Bezos brothers for the July 20th scheduled flight are a yet-to-be-named crew member and an auction winner who paid $28 million to play astronaut for the day. In the event the four amateur astronauts are undecided on what to wear for their space odyssey, Bezos' amazon warehouse can outfit them with adult-sized space suits for $29.99 a piece with delivery as soon as Friday.
