Millions of Students Couldn't Do Remote Learning Because System Broke

As a major snowstorm wallops the East Coast, many students were expected to do remote learning today from the comfort of their homes.

That is, until the entire system didn't even work - causing students, parents, teachers and faculty a massive headache.

When students and teachers across New York City and surrounding areas tried logging onto their remote learning software this morning, they were met with "Service unavailable," as well as other error messages. That is, if they were even able to get in at all.

Many teachers reported that they couldn't even get into their emails or take attendance. Eventually, NYC's Department of Education tweeted out and acknowledged there was a problem. Surprise, surprise another bureaucrat dropped the ball to check to make sure everything worked. Was four days' notice of imminent snowfall not enough time?

REMOTE LEARNING SYSTEMS DIDN'T WORK FOR MILLIONS

The online disaster comes as school union President and lunatic Randi Weingarten - ya know, the one that mandated kids do remote learning and screwed up an entire generation during the pandemic, continues to be in charge of public schools across the country for God knows what reason.

School authorities are blaming IBM for the network issue, but others are saying that Weingarten's at fault for creating a system that is inadequate and inefficient. "The New York City Department of Education has literally screwed up the recipe for ice. That sums up the NYC DOE," one English teacher told the New York Post.

Many parents agreed on social media with some even saying it's karma for the NYC DOE not allowing kids to actually be kids and enjoy a snow day! Imagine growing up and not having a snow day because of the likes of Randi Weingarten? No wonder so many kids are dropping out. She's taking away children's ability to just LIVE.

One parent even called out New York City Mayor Eric Adams for ripping into parents for not having a computer at their homes! Talk about eating his words just 24 hours later.

Good to see our schools are starting off 2024 with the same incompetence that they've dealt with the last four years. But hey, at least Weingarten and the other school administrators will get a participation trophy for trying!
