Dog Gone Shame: Messi Not Allowed At Upcoming Oscars This Sunday

Multiple film studios have reportedly complained to the Academy that Messi is a distraction and shouldn't be allowed to be in attendance for this Sunday night's Oscars Award Ceremony.

As everyone on social media knows, Messi has become an absolute sensation with many of his photos and videos going viral. When the foreigner enters the room, it's all eyes on him - and rightfully so!  

However, now, apparently some Hollywood big shots believe that he's too popular and could possibly steal the spotlight from them - or, even an award.

Seriously? I mean what in God's name (or dog's name) are we doing here, people?! Are you that insecure that you're going to literally go and complain to the bosses about him? How weak Hollywood has become.

Oh - you thought I meant Lionel Messi.

No, we're talking about MESSI… the dog.

Messi has been all the talk lately after the Anatomy of a Fall star appeared at Cannes and the Oscars luncheon in recent weeks. The border collie from France stole the show - much to the chagrin of other media outlets and others who thought they should be in the spotlight.

Every few feet, Messi was stopped by A-list celebs who wanted to take videos and photos with him - from Bradley Cooper to a viral video with Ryan Gosling to even Billie Eilish, who spent more than 10 minutes playing with him rather than answering press questions. (Good tip by the way - just play with a dog if you want to avoid the paparazzi!)

However, now, Messi reportedly won't be attending Sunday's Oscars because the other studios believe that he has an unfair advantage because he's so popular. Anatomy's film studio Neon told The Hollywood Reporter that Messi's luncheon event was a one-off and that the star dog wouldn't be in attendance. 

It's a damn shame too. As we're reminded time and time again, Hollywood boastfully prides itself on performances of all sizes and colors - but yet are discriminating against Messi here. 

As a huge supporter of Baywatch when I was growing up for obvious reasons, I don't think I've ever seen as good of acting as Messi did in this viral Instagram post.

Gotta hand it to the Hollywood, holier-than-thou elites for ruining another good thing. Can't wait for some woke celeb to give an acceptance speech and go off on a tirade about Israel, how much America sucks, and how dogs are now a threat.
