New 'Masters Of The Air' Episode Preview Is Harrowing And Ominous

It looks like the upcoming episode of "Masters of the Air" will be a chilling experience.

The seventh episode of the hit WWII series from Apple about American bomber crews dropped Friday, and was met with the same reaction as every other episode:

A lot of emotion, pain, patriotism and pride.

"Masters of the Air" episode eight preview promises carnage and pain.

The series with Anthony Boyle and Austin Butler is the first true hit of 2024, and it's equal parts gritty, dark and overwhelming. It shines a very raw light on what life was like as a part of a bomber crew and the hell on Earth POWs had to experience and endure.

Episode eight will pick up right where episode seven left off with Buck and Bucky in the infamous Stalag Luft III prison camp. The preview also indicates the eighth episode will focus on D-Day......the day America and our allies kicked down the front door of Europe to bring freedom to those oppressed by the Nazis.

Crack open a beer, smash play on the preview below and hit me with your thoughts on "Masters of the Air" at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Seriously, who is ready to run through a wall right now? Who wishes they were rocking an M1 against some German soldiers in 1944? I know I'm not the only one.

The fact you're reading this tells me you probably feel the same way. Damn, it's impossible to not feel wildly patriotic when discussing anything related to WWII and American heroes.

Bomber crews suffered absurd casualty rates, and they knew damn well every mission could easily be their last one. Yet, they went and got the job done anyways. They rained hell and death from above down on the Germans, and "Masters of the Air" does an insanely impressive job of telling their story.

As I've said multiple times, I had a family member who earned two Distinguished Flying Crosses as part of a bomber crew in WWII. Everyone who went up in a bomber had to have guts of steel, and if they were shot down, death or a prison camp awaited them.

There are now only two episodes left, and I can promise you that both are epic. Start mentally preparing for what's coming because it's wild. If you haven't already started watching, then there's no better time to start than right now. Let me know your thoughts on the series at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
