Taylor Sheridan's CIA/Military Series Gets Significant Update

Production is officially underway on "Lioness" season two.

The hit military/CIA show from Taylor Sheridan about secret female commands was a smashing success in 2023, and fans have been desperate to find out what updates might be coming.

Paramount+ recently announced the show had been renewed for a second season, and it didn't take long for things to move forward from there.

Production is already underway on the new season.

Production starts on "Lioness" season two.

Paramount+ announced Thursday that production is already happening on a second season, despite the renewal announcement happening on May 9th.

That would seem to indicate people behind the scenes knew long before the renewal announcement happened that there would be a season two. Scripts were likely completed a long time ago.

Much more importantly, cameras already rolling on season two means there's a very real chance season two premieres at some point this year.

"Lioness" has very few special effects that would require a lot of post-production. If filming is done by the end of June, then a November return could definitely be in the cards for the hit series from Sheridan.

Also, if you haven't already watched season one of "Lioness," I can't recommend it enough. It pulls back the curtain on the shadow world of female operators. It's gritty, dark, violent and unbelievably captivating.

Believe it or not, there are some insanely badass women who have done a lot of killing the public will never know about. Google is your friend. Search hard enough and you'll find some fascinating stories. That's about as much as I can say without getting a phone call.

Let's hope "Lioness" returns this year. I loved season one, and can't wait to see where it goes from here. Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com what you think of the series from Taylor Sheridan.
