Sinister Trailer Drops For 'Joker' Sequel, Promises Chaos: VIDEO

The trailer for "Joker: Folie à Deux" is here, and it's glorious.

The highly-anticipated sequel to the 2019 original arrives October 4th in theaters across America, and fans are excited to see Joaquin Phoenix return as the legendary villain.

The first film with Phoenix as the Joker was exceptional, and viewers are hoping for the same with the new movie in October.

Judging from the trailer, it's going to be a good time. Give it a watch below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com

"Joker: Folie à Deux" trailer drops.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not super knowledgeable when it comes to the comic book universes, but I did love "Joker" and Christian Bale's "Dark Knight" trilogy. They're the only movies from that genre that I've really enjoyed.

Most of it is junk, and I can't stand nonsense like "The Avengers." Todd Phillips went super dark with "Joker," and he clearly intends on doing the same with "Joker: Folie à Deux."

That's great news for fans. Plus, it should be great to see what Lady Gaga is like in another major acting role. She was outstanding in "A Star is Born."

I wouldn't expect anything different with the "Joker" sequel.

Let's hope Phillips and Phoenix keep the momentum high when the film drops in October. The first one was incredibly dark and I expect things to only get even darker move forward as viewers watch Arthur Fleck's total transformation into the villain known as the Joker.
