Joe Biden Apologizes For Calling Laken Riley's Murderer An 'Illegal' In State Of The Union Address

Joe Biden went on live television with MSNBC to apologize for calling Laken Riley’s killer an "illegal."

The president held his State of the Union address on Thursday, in which he was attempting to discuss the death of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student at the University of Georgia who was killed by an immigrant. After botching his delivery of her name (calling her "Lincoln"), Biden said that she was killed by an "illegal."

Biden was right to use that word when referring to Riley’s killer. The alleged murderer is from Venezuela and came into America illegally last month.

But if you’re part of the radical Left, you can’t call illegal immigrants "illegal." After all, illegal immigrants often vote for progressive policies and help destroy the middle class by working for cheap wages. As such, progressives do everything they can make sure that illegals are portrayed as a good influence on America.

That is why Biden, in an interview with MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart, apologized for calling the murderer an "illegal," instead of choosing to call him "undocumented."

"I shouldn't have used ‘illegal,’" Biden said. "I'm not going to treat any of these people with disrespect, they built our country."

Biden Cares More About What He Calls A Murderer Than The Suffering Of His Own People

So instead of (for once in his life) highlighting that an American suffered injustice at the hands of an illegal immigrant, he became so concerned about his word choice of a killer that he discussed it on live television.

What a despicable thing to do.

The President of the United States should not do PR clean-up duty and give an illegal immigrant the benefit of the doubt. Nor should he try to excuse the actions of this man just because immigrants have played a big part in our country’s history. Any immigrants that helped this country succeed and that left a positive impact were not murderers. To equate Riley’s murderer to the many admirable immigrants is the biggest example of cognitive dissonance you’ll see this weekend.

Any good president should be more concerned about bringing justice to the citizens of his own country than offending the people of another nation who shouldn’t be here.

Joe Biden cannot even do that.
