Remember Jessica Alba? She Throws Heat In Trailer For New Action Movie

Jessica Alba has a new movie coming out, and it looks like an interesting popcorn flick.

For our younger readers who might not know, Jessica Alba was a *HUGE* deal back in the mid-200s. She skyrocketed to fame after starring on "Dark Angel" more than 20 years ago, and parlayed that success into several major films.

There's no question she was the "it girl" in Hollywood for a very long time. Hell, she's currently only 43-years-old, and it feels like she's been around my whole life.

Well, she has a new movie on the way, and it's good to see she still has her fastball.

Trailer drops for Jessica Alba's new movie "Trigger Warning."

Alba stars in the upcoming Netflix movie "Trigger Warning," and the plot is described is described as follows:

"Special Forces commando Parker (Jessica Alba) is on active duty overseas when she gets called back to her hometown with the tragic news that her father has suddenly died. Now the owner of the family bar, Parker reconnects with her former boyfriend-turned-sheriff Jesse (Mark Webber), his hot-tempered brother Elvis (Jake Weary) and their powerful father Senator Swann (Anthony Michael Hall), as she looks to understand what actually happened to her dad.

Parker’s search for answers quickly goes south and she soon finds herself at odds with a violent gang running rampant in her hometown. Unsure of who she can truly trust, Parker draws on her commando training and proves herself a force to be reckoned with as she hunts down the truth and attempts to right what has gone wrong in Swann County, with the help of her covert ops partner and hacker Spider (Tone Bell) and connected local dealer Mike (Gabriel Basso)."

Sold. Say no more. Jessica Alba as a badass commando on the hunt for truth? Sounds like a script I would have written as a teenager all jacked up on Mountain Dew.

Welcome back, Jessica. Welcome back to the big stage. What an incredible trailer and title for Alba's latest project.

"Trigger Warning."

No, this isn't an attempt to dunk on the libs. It's a movie about a female commando killing bad guys, and it looks absolutely outrageous and ridiculous.

I don't say that as a bad thing. It's okay to have films where you switch off the brain and just enjoy.

I'm not even against the idea of an action movie starring a female commando. Believe it or not, this country has some insanely talented female commandos who have helped take out a lot of human trash. I wish I could say more publicly, but that's probably going to lead to some very uncomfortable phone calls. Google is your friend. The information is out there if you look hard enough.

Just trust me when I say we have some female beasts who are great at making sure bad guys get killed. "Lioness" is a reasonably realistic look at that world.

"Trigger Warning" seems to be more about massive fight scenes and gunfights. I'm not mad about it! "Trigger Warning" drops June 21 on Netflix. I'll definitely give it a shot. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
