Sean Strickland's Navy SEAL Beef Takes Unexpected Turn: VIDEO

The bizarre beef between Sean Strickland and some in the Navy SEALs community continues to get weirder and weirder.

Strickland has faced the scorn of some former SEALs for claiming they couldn't keep up with him in training. The UFC superstar was clearly referring to fight training, and no matter how badass you think SEALs are - they are very badass! - they're not trained to fight against a UFC star.

Instead of everyone calming down and going about their lives, people have blown the situation completely out of proportion.

That included former SEAL Jason Pike, who suggested he might "run" his "thumb up" Strickland's "butt" after lubing it up in a street fight.

Sean Strickland/Jason Pike situation takes unexpected turn.

Strickland recently claimed he messaged Pike offering to fight him. The claim wasn't overly shocking due to the fact Strickland will fight just about anyone at any time at any location.

However, Pike has a very different version of events, and he seems to have evidence on his side. He recently shared a Facebook video claiming Strickland never messaged him at all.

The man who now runs Frogman Tactical even pulled up his Instagram DMs and scrolled through them to prove that he was telling the truth. Pike even referred to Strickland as a "child trapped in a man's body" before sharing his thoughts on the entire situation.

You can watch his response to Strickland below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

This entire situation has really gone way too far. We have Sean Strickland offering to fight Navy SEALs, Jason Pike is airing out DMs and you simply have to wonder at what point everyone just gets back to living life.

I believe Andy Stumpf said it best when he reacted to some of the outrage directed at the UFC star from former SEAL Jimmy Watson. The former ST6 member said the following, in part:

"[Strickland is] playing a character. It's part of who he is and what he does in the UFC. If you think the SEAL - or the guy who was a SEAL - who responded to him is also not playing a character, then I don't know what to tell you because that is one of the worst representations of the SEAL community possible. He needs to shut the f*ck up…This whole, ‘We’ve taken souls.' Shut the f*ck up. Shut up. Like, dude, go write a Hollywood movie if you want to talk about it like that.' It nauseates me. I was a professional soldier. Not a psychopath. I'm not out there trying to delicately navigate my way through the spiritual universe and take this soul and that soul."

People need to take a deep breath and get back to just living life. It's really not that complicated. Navy SEALs are great shooters and great warriors. I'm glad we have them on our side. A couple of my good friends are SEALs, and I'd feel very safe if a gunfight broke out and they were in my corner.

Sean Strickland is a top fighter in the world. That's what he trains to do. SEALs train to fight the enemy in war - not the octagon.

On behalf of everyone, it's time to put this situation behind us, and move on! It's simply too cringe and has gone way too far. Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com if you agree!
