Florida Man Arrested After Being Found Drunk & Naked Sitting In A Garbage Can

In some cities across the country, a drunk naked man sitting in a garbage can on the sidewalk wouldn't be out of the ordinary.  The scene might not even rise to the level of requiring police involvement.  St. Petersburg, Florida apparently isn't one of them.

That didn't stop 35-year-old Wyly Weeks from giving it a shot.  The Florida man told the St. Petersburg police, according to documents obtained by The Smoking Gun, that "he was allowed to be drunk and disorderly and sit naked in a trash can on the public sidewalk."

The officers claim that Weeks was intoxicated, unsteady on his feet, and smelled like alcohol when they removed him from a garbage can he was sitting in late Saturday night.  He was arrested for disorderly intoxication and added a charge of resisting an officer without violence.

He added the second charge by refusing to provide his name or demographics.  According to Weeks, on account of him being allowed to be drunk, naked, and sitting in the downtown garbage can, he didn't need to provide any information.

He viewed it as an unlawful arrest.  The arresting officers disagreed, and he was taken to jail.  Weeks has reportedly already pleaded guilty to both charges against him.  He was fined $520 for his drunken naked garbage can activities.

This Isn't This Florida Man's First Run In With Police For Taking His Clothes Off

This is not Weeks' first run in with the law.  TSG says he has quite the criminal resume with a rap sheet that includes theft, disorderly conduct, panhandling, criminal mischief, and other misdemeanor convictions.

One might assume being dragged to jail for having too much to drink and taking your clothes off would be rock bottom.  For some it very well could be, not for this Florida man.

He has a prior arrest for walking around the streets of Tampa naked after some drinks with a buddy.  The two thought it would be funny to take their clothes off after exiting a bar.
