Mariachi Band Set On Fire By A Fire-Breathing Street Performer During Wild Brawl Over Tips In Mexico

Note to self, don't bring a sombrero and/or a guitar to a fight with a fire-breather.  Neither are very effective at defending against fire.  That little nugget of advice would have been useful for a Mariachi band in Mexico earlier this week.

There's apparently a vicious turf war raging in the country between street performers over tips.  The Mariachi band had an issue with the fire-breather's claim to the sidewalk in front of a restaurant by the name of El Inferno - which translates to Hell - in the city of Morelia.

An argument over the hot spot for tips ensued, got heated between the street performers, and eventually turned physical.  Outnumbered by the several members of the Mariachi band, the fire-breather resorted to what he believed was his only option; fire.

Video from the wild brawl shows the fire-breather in a headlock taking some punches from a couple of the members of the band before all hell breaks loose.  As the fight progresses, he's able to wrestle free and get his hands on some of his fire.

This is when things start to take a turn in his favor.  The fire-breather starts throwing and breathing fire at the Mariachi band members, sending them running as he does so.  A couple of them are set on fire, but manage to put themselves out fairly quickly.

No Harm, No Foul In This Brawl Between Fire-Breather And Mariachi Band

The street performer versus street performer battle is such a regular occurrence, maybe not with a fire-breather, that there were reportedly no arrests made when the brawl cooled down.

Even crazier than that, given that there was fire involved and several people were lit on fire, only the fire-breather had injuries that required a trip to the hospital.

There's no need to make a big deal about this situation and get the law involved.  The two sides, one equipped with fire, settled things all on their own.

Sure, a couple of people got set on fire, but an entire restaurant was thoroughly entertained in the process and that has to count for something.  I hope all involved were tipped handsomely for their performances.
