Costco Is Bringing Back Samples And Hope To Humanity

For the first time since the beginning of a pandemic that set off an obsession with disinfectant wipes and six feet of separation, Costco and Sam's Club announced that they will be bringing back their sample stations for shoppers to, once again, enjoy free foods during their visits.

As part of their plan to reinstate the renowned sampling booths across stores, Costco chief financial officer Richard Galanti announced last week that the company would be phasing the experience back into stores as early as June after shutting it down early March 2020. The return of samples is set to be fully incorporated by the upcoming weekend as grocery stores and in-door services adjust to the CDC's new, less restrictive recommendations on masks and social distancing for vaccinated Americans.

Based on promising data behind vaccination efforts and consistent information relating to the spread of COVID, businesses are looking to get back to full operations after facing a long year full of inconsistent public health guidelines and an abundance of precaution in areas that did not demand it.

As fewer local counties continue to enforce outdated mask policies, reasonable Americans return to their favorite past-times with full confidence that wearing masks in public will now be optional.

If you enjoy sampling au gratin potatoes from a minuscule paper cup, or tasting an 1/8th of a bison patty, this is your weekend to celebrate. Though the endearing luxuries of living in a capitalist society continue to roll back out into normal life, none have been as cathartic as this.
