Chris Harrison Is Officially Leaving 'The Bachelor,' Says He's Ready For Next Chapter

Chris Harrison, who stepped away from The Bachelor in February after an incident where the woke police came for Harrison's head and resulted in the longtime host bending the knee and apologizing to the woke police, announced Tuesday that he's left the show for good and will not be returning. Harrison said in an Instagram post that he's "excited to start a new chapter."

And with that, Harrison's Bachelor run, which started in 2002, was over. Deadline.com reports Harrison will receive a "mid-range eight-figure payoff" to go away quietly and accept his exit. Why pay Harrison to keep quiet? Deadline reports that Harrison's lawyer had been threatening lawsuits against the franchise that would reveal secrets behind the show.

“Chris Harrison is stepping aside as host of The Bachelor franchise. We are thankful for his many contributions over the past 20 years and wish him all the best on his new journey,” ABC Entertainment said in a statement released to NBC News.
