CBS Cites Far-Left Rags To Support Claim Biden's Age Is Not A Concern

There was a time, believe it or not, that voters could trust the Sunday morning news programs. CBS, NBC, and ABC did not uphold the same overt political biases on Sundays at 9:30 am as their sister programming on the weekdays.

Times have certainly changed.

On Sunday, CBS News sought to defend Joe Biden against concerns over his age and cognitive abilities. The show cited how "some media watchdogs argue President Biden’s age has been over-covered, overstated and over-analyzed, particularly when compared to former President Trump’s."

Yet the show cited organizations that hardly qualify as "media watchdogs."

CBS displayed the headlines to which it referred on-screen, featuring the following outlets: Media Matters, Mother Jones, and SubStack accounts for Margaret Sullivan and Judd Legum.

Let's review, outlet-by-outlet:

Media Matters calls itself a "media watchdog." It's not.

Media Matters is a far-left George Soros-funded smear operation that deploys pitiful stooges to stalk conservative media, take segments out of context, and then threatens advertisers to boycott said conservative news operation.

Late last year, Media Matters triggered an advertiser exodus on X after publishing a report that claims the social media service places ads from blue-chip sponsors next to hateful and pro-Nazi content.

The report was deceptive. Media Matters manipulated the algorithm by using inauthentic accounts to produce false ad results to scare sponsors, as it did to Rumble months prior:

Elon Musk's X Corp. has since sued Media Matters for America for defamation. We hope he wins.

Mother Jones, though better than Media Matters, is also not a credible "watchdog." Mother Jones is one of the furthest left magazines on sale, earning a partisan score of 4.0 out of 6.0 on AllSides metric.

The site's descent into left-wing conspiracies, boycotts, and hateful content is profound. Imagine a magazine catering to the Joy Reid and Chris Hayes of the country – that's Mother Jones.

Margaret Sullivan previously wrote for the New York Times and Washington Post. Judd Legum previously wrote for Think Progress. Enough said. They are avowed liberal journalists who now charge readers for their notable slants.

Not a single source CBS cited is honest or credible. But credibility and honesty were not the point.

CBS – like most of the establishment media brands – feels a moral duty to do its part in preventing Donald Trump from winning the presidency.

CBS understands that Biden's age and mental limitations, following a damning special counsel report, is one of his campaign's chief political concerns.

Immigration is another. Hence, why several news networks censored Donald Trump's victory speech, referencing immigration, as he won the Iowa caucus last month:

There's a reason why only Congress has less built-up trust with American adults than the corporate press. And why just 11 percent of adults trust the television news, a new record low.

Those reasons will become more apparent in 2024, as threats of censorship and media manipulation loom over the election

Corporate media "journalists" an extension of the Democrat Party. They no longer care to disguise it.
