WNBA Rookie Is Practically Begging To Be In SI Swimsuit

Cameron Brink sounds very open to expanding her modeling career.

Brink was the second pick of the WNBA Draft, and the Los Angeles Sparks rookie is one of the biggest young names in women's basketball.

The WNBA is in a unique moment in the league's history. Now, more than ever before, the women's pro basketball league has a chance to use recognizable names to build its brand.

There's already plenty going on with Caitlin Clark, and business is also booming with Brink. She recently posed for SKIMS, and that's probably not the end of her doing photo shoots.

Cameron Brink open to doing Sports Illustrated Swimsuit or ESPN Body Issue.

Brink revealed she's open to doing a shoot for the ESPN Body Issue or for SI Swimsuit, and both would likely generate monster attention. The ESPN Body Issue famously often features athletes in zero clothing.

"I think just as a female athlete, the Body Issue is always dope just to see how your body is as an athlete, purely as an athlete. Just to appreciate that our bodies are machines. It’s how we make our money. So, I’ve always thought that’s a really cool concept. Or Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. I’ve always loved that. I think it’s super empowering," Brink told Paul George during a recent appearance on his podcast.

You can watch her break it all down below.

Now, I recognize I'm not the smartest culture guy working at OutKick, but I realize a great content idea when I see it. WNBA representatives should be on the phone right now trying to make sure this happens.

There has never been more interest in the WNBA than there is at this moment. How long will it last? Nobody can say for sure, but a *GREAT* way to make sure momentum doesn't die is to promote the hell out of the league's athletes.

Getting young stars into Sports Illustrated Swimsuit would be a golden move for Brink and the WNBA. The ESPN Body Issue is far less popular. The focus should be on SI Swimsuit, and it looks like the Sparks rookie has already tested the waters on her Instagram.

Plenty of athletes have been featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit over the years. Most notably, Olivia Dunne has crushed it in recent issues. There's literally no downside. If the WNBA wants to cash in as much as possible, it should already be lining up a deal. Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com if you agree!
