Cowherd Chimes In With Typical Cowherd Take on Baker Mayfield, Gets Epic Response from Tom Brady

Videos by OutKick

The ongoing back-and-forth between Colin Cowherd and Baker Mayfield has been helpful in getting us through this COVID-19 pandemic. Really, it was entertaining way before that, but the value has only gone up since last March.

So when Mayfield tweeted that he was almost 100% certain he saw a UFO on Wednesday night, everyone knew Cowherd would respond. And guess what? We got exactly what we were looking for.

During his show on FS1, the sports personality took some very Cowherd-esque shots at Mayfield. It was probably all in good fun, but it was entertaining nonetheless.

“The ability to see UFOs in the offseason is no where near my top 10 qualifications [when judging a quarterback],” Cowherd said. “Joe Montana, Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw and Tom Brady have never seen aliens. I would prefer my guys don’t talk about it.”

Here’s the problem, though. Cowherd was making assumptions.

First off, he later acknowledged that Aaron Rodgers has said he’s seen one. He’s one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. But that’s not all. The GOAT himself chimed in as well.

Tom Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, called Cowherd out in epic fashion.

“How do you know I’ve never seen aliens Colin,” Brady asked on Twitter.

That’s a great point, Tom.

Who knows, it might take a UFO to fully unlock the greatness within. Maybe that’s what happened to Brady sometime between being drafted No. 199 and getting that first start after the Drew Bledsoe injury. We just don’t know.

It might be time to go throw a futures bet down on the Cleveland Browns winning the Super Bowl.

  1. I really just avoid all types of TV news programming. I can’t watch any of the sports talk, they are all just iterations of those annoying dickheads Tony Kenheiser and Peter King. I have literally never watched more than five minutes of Cowherd.

I feel bad for Baker Mayfield on this one, regardless of everything else, he’s just a 25 year old kid. I mean in the real world he would be starting the second year of an entry level job. That tweet was him thinking he could just be a regular guy.

  2. Cowherd is just another California limousine lib who loves to bash people he knows his liberal pals with all agree with. I would like to see him shut up and deliver the sports because that he is what he is good at.
