COVID Results Show Major League Baseball Is Ready to Be Back

Major League Baseball has gone through its fair share of tribulations this offseason, but the latest COVID-19 test results are turning heads. Joel Sherman reported this morning that the league gathered 10,548 samples with just SIX (0.05%) positive tests.

These numbers should make the fans of baseball wonder how NASCAR managed to host 30,000 fans while Major League Baseball operates like the sky is falling.

Rob Manfred, the commissioner of baseball, hasn’t been able to get out of his own way this offseason, but these test results are a step in the right direction. Manfred will need to stand tall against Fauci-truthers when that 0.5% inevitably rises after the season begins.

Baseball’s audience is more likely to hug onto their Christian beliefs than political scientists like Dr. Fauci. Manfred should have a clear understanding his audience will expect him to defend the 60-game season like his life depends on it.

There will undoubtedly be a crowd of self-proclaimed scientists hoping for the league to fold, but baseball must sift through the debris of social media and follow the results.

Let the kids play!
