Could Tyreek Hill Run for the US in the 2021 Olympics?

Before the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl last year, Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill said he was serious about his goal of qualifying for the U.S. Olympics.

After the Chiefs fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in this year's Super Bowl, Hill said his objective hasn't changed.

"It is still an option 'cause it's always been my dream to do multiple sports at the highest level," Hill said to TMZ Sports.

He said he set the goal to qualify for the U.S. track and field team in 2020, but then COVID-19 postponed the Olympic Games until this summer.

Hill said he still has his eyes set on making the U.S. team, despite the short window to prepare.

"It would be amazing. I just want to prove a point," he said. "I love competing."

Hill told TMZ Sports he would have to drop some weight and muscle mass to achieve his goal but said he loves competing and having fun.

"I'm young so why not use everything that I got while I still have it...," he said. "One day I'm going to be old and I'm not going to be as fast, so just use everything I got."

Hill, who was a sprinter in high school, previously broke the 10-second mark in the 100-meter dash, per TMZ Sports. He also marked a 20.14-second 200-meter sprint.

Could the Cheetah have enough speed to qualify without proper training?

Hill said if he doesn't make it, fans may still see him in a charity race against Tampa Bay Buccaneers' wide out Scotty Miller. In fact, if the money is right, any race is on the table.
