Could Three Aggies Really Be Top 25 NFL Draft Prospects?

Texas A&M is expected to again be in the conversation for the national championship, and the Aggies appear to have the future NFL types to make you believe they truly can win it all.

As 247 Sports relayed, NFL draft guru Mel Kiper has already come out with his 2022 big board of top 25 draft prospects -- and that list includes three Aggies.

Those three? Defensive end Demarvin Leal (No. 5), offensive linemen Kenyon Green (No. 7) and running back Isaiah Spiller (No. 20).

Kiper offered notes on each.

"Leal plays defensive end for the Aggies, but I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up as a 3-technique tackle in the NFL," Kiper wrote. "That's where he could reach his ceiling."

The ESPN guru also suggested a potential NFL change of position for Green.

"After starting at right guard as a freshman, Green played left guard last season, and he was tremendous, allowing no sacks and crushing defenders in the run game," Kiper wrote. "Could he be the Alijah Vera-Tucker of the 2022 class? Vera-Tucker played guard at USC until he moved last season to tackle, where he showed off elite feet and became a top-15 pick."

As for Green, Kiper noted "had 651 yards after first contact, which ranked seventh in the FBS and was only 60 yards behind the total for first-round pick Najee Harris."

So there you have it. Texas A&M will continue to focus on 2021. But for at least several draft prospects, 2022 could turn out to be big, too.
