Could Richard Sherman Return To The Seahawks This Offseason?

Richard Sherman became a star in the NFL during his time with the Seattle Seahawks. He even won a Super Bowl with them in 2014.

The 32-year-old played seven seasons for the Hawks before playing the last three for Seattle’s biggest rival, the San Francisco 49ers.

Now Sherman is a free agent once again, free to go wherever he’d like, and reports say that he might have his eyes set on going back to where it all started.

NFL insider Tom Pelissero says not to rule out Sherman going back to the Seahawks, who could use a cornerback.

Pelissero said on Good Morning Football on Wednesday morning that he is under the belief that Sherman “is open to returning to Seattle.”

“I believe the Seahawks would also be open to having Sherman back,” Pelissero said.

Sherman didn’t leave under tough circumstances, so the two sides could likely work something out if that’s their wish.

In 2012 and 2013, Sherman snagged eight interceptions for the Hawks.

He played in just five games for the Niners last season due to injury, collecting one interception and one pass defensed.
