CoronaBros Went After Boston College For Locker Room Celebration

Just to prove how dumb people are in 2020, I couldn't wait to write up this blog on dumb people being mad at Boston College football players for celebrating after Saturday's win over Texas State. A locker room celebration. That had people furious. Team Coronabros and Coronasisters couldn't believe these guys who are constantly tested and just got out of the trenches with Texas State were actually chanting and going nuts in the locker room.

The usual suspects raised hell over the celebration and the school came out and pretty much said what I just wrote above: the athletes in that room are tested, they go play football and then they scream after a win. Deal with it. They're not killing each other. We've already been over these stats multiple times.

“Per ACC regulations, the Boston College football team is tested three times per week for COVID-19,” Jason Baum, senior associate athletic director for Boston College told MassLive. “The team was tested Friday afternoon and was quarantined in a hotel until the game on Saturday. The momentary post-game celebration in the locker room involved team members who had zero positive COVID-19 tests.”

Newton City Councilor Alicia Bowman had a problem with the boys getting turnt. As you'd expect, she's on a ballot this year. Nothing gets her fellow coronabros and sisters fired up like college football players celebrating.

“As an elected official in #NewtonMA where much of the @BostonCollege campus is located, this video upsets me,” Bowman’s tweet said. “@BCFootball players do not live in a bubble. #COVID19 is real and deadly but clearly no one here cares about that.”

Alicia has an election to win. She knows that was a dumb take, but it's 2020 and she's going to play dumb. Just for that, I hope North Carolina heads north Saturday and takes an L to the Eagles and BC goes even harder as a huge f-you to Alicia and her fun police.
