Conor McGregor Buys Pub Where He Was Accused Of Assaulting Man, Bans Man From Pub

When you have Conor McGregor's money, you get to do things like buy the bar where you were accused of assaulting a man and then immediately ban the man from the pub. In 2019, McGregor was fined around $1,200 for punching Desmond Keogh at a Dublin pub after Keogh reportedly refused a glass of McGregor's Proper No. 12 whiskey.

Now Keogh, 50, has been banned from the Marble Arch pub after McGregor plunked down around $2 million to buy the bar. That's right, the new owner gets to draw up the rules around here, and 'Notorious' says Desmond can find a new bar to drink at. You're not welcome in these parts. What kind of Irishman are you anyway? You won't do a shot with the legend? What the fook?

“I’m not really concerned because I probably wouldn’t be going back to it now," Keogh told the Irish Mirror this week. “I wouldn’t be going back anyway, probably, especially now. I wouldn’t want to be spending money in his pub, to be honest.

“I didn’t really make much of it. It’s no skin off my nose really."

Keogh added that the Marble Arch was his local pub and that he had spent many years there slamming drinks with buddies, but those days are now over.

Keogh told media outlets in 2019 that he felt like this was a 'bully with money' situation and that all he did was refuse to do a shot with the MMA legend.

“I am sitting on the barstool just having a quiet pint with my friend, then all of a sudden because I refuse his drink I get a punch. You don’t need that in life.”

And now the two sides agree that they will go their separate ways. McGregor will own the pub and Desmond will find a new place to drink and refuse shots of whiskey.
