Comparing Jets Fans Tweets From After Their First And Third Games

It isn't easy being a New York Jets fan. The highs and lows of a fanbase desperate for progress is playing out right in front of our eyes. As early as last Saturday, Jets Nation was loaded with excitement after the Jets thoroughly dominated the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football September 10 at Ford Field to win their first game of the season 48-17.  The game saw rookie quarterback Sam Darnold throw for 198 yards and two touchdowns, leading to a ton of positive takes about his potential. But, since last Saturday, the Jets went down to the Dolphins at home, then blew a two touchdown lead in Cleveland Thursday to lose to the Browns 21-17.  It was the Browns first win in 635 days. Almost as bad, the game saw the Browns' first overall pick, quarterback Baker Mayfield, lead Cleveland to victory after replacing Tyrod Taylor in the second quarter. Mayfield's performance essentially supplanted Darnold as the NFL's most hyped quarterback. Of course, that can all change very quickly.  Nevertheless, Jets fans are not in the same mindset as twelve days ago.  For fun, let's take a look at some Jets' fans tweets from right after their Monday night win over the Lions, and compare them to tweets from after Thursday night's loss.
