College Football Week 6 Opening Odds

Special to Outkick The Coverage from OddsShark.com

Ohio State is a 28.5-point favorite on the opening Week 6 betting lines at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com for their home game against Maryland on Saturday, one week after they got past Indiana 34-27 on the road but failed to cover the 21.5-point spread.

That means Ohio State is 5-0 straight up but 1-4 against the spread so far this season, and they head into Saturday's game at 0-5 ATS in their last five games at home according to the OddsShark College Football Database. Maryland, though, is 2-5 both SU and ATS in its last seven games.

Also on Saturday, the Oklahoma Sooners are 13.5-point favorites against the Texas Longhorns for their annual Red River Rivalry clash at the Cotton Bowl. Oklahoma beat Texas 31-26 but failed to cover the 16.5-point spread in this matchup last year. The Longhorns are 1-6 both SU and ATS in their last seven games, and they were blasted 50-7 by TCU as a 14.5-point underdog on the weekend.

Elsewhere, Notre Dame opened as a 16-point home favorite against Navy for Saturday at the sportsbooks, with the OVER having paid off for totals bettors in each of their last five matchups. Clemson opened as a 7.5-point home favorite against Georgia Tech, Utah opened as a 7-point home favorite against California, and Michigan State opened as a 17-point road favorite against Rutgers.
