College Football Week 5 Opening Odds

The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish both opened as part of pick'em matchups on the Week 5 college football odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, but the schools find themselves as small betting underdogs after the early line moves.

Alabama, a favorite in its last 72 games, opened as a pick'em on the road against Georgia, but now sits as a 1.5-point road underdog. Notre Dame, a perfect 4-0 SU on the season, finds itself as a 2.5-point road underdog after opening in a pick'em matchup against Clemson.

The Fighting Irish are 0-3 against the spread in their last three games on the road according to the OddsShark College Football Database, while the Tigers are 10-1 SU in their last 11 home games in the month of October.

Meanwhile, big spreads for Week 5 include Michigan State -24.5 at home to Purdue, Florida State -18 on the road at Wake Forest, and LSU -45 at home to Eastern Michigan. As well, top-ranked Ohio State opened as a 17.5-point road favorite at Indiana.

The Buckeyes are perfect at 15-0 SU in their last 15 games against Indiana, and 18-0 SU in their last 18 games overall. The Hoosiers, though, will be looking to build on a solid ATS run on Saturday as they're 5-1 ATS in their last six games.
