College Football Week 14 Opening Odds

Special to Outkick The Coverage from OddsShark.com

There are eight college football conference championship games on tap this week, and the biggest favorites on the opening board are the Alabama Crimson Tide as they look to lock down a spot in the College Football Playoff. The Crimson Tide opened as 17-point favorites against the Florida Gators for the SEC Championship Game at the Georgia Dome on Saturday, with Alabama at 11-1 straight up and 7-5 against the spread on the season. Alabama is 4-0 both SU and ATS in its last four games against Florida, doubling them up 42-21 in their last meeting back in September 2014.

The championship games get underway on Friday with Bowling Green favored by eight points over Northern Illinois for the MAC title, while the less notable games Saturday have Houston -7 vs Temple in the AAC Championship, Western Kentucky -7.5 vs Southern Miss in the CUSA Championship, and San Diego State -3.5 vs Air Force in the Mountain West Championship.

The Big Ten Championship Game at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday essentially serves as a play-in game for the College Football Playoff, with Michigan State opening as a 4-point favorite against unbeaten Iowa. Stanford opened as a 4-point favorite against USC for the Pac-12 title game, with the Cardinal's chances of making the CFP on life support.

And Clemson opened as a 6.5-point favorite against North Carolina for the ACC Championship Game on Saturday at Bank of America Stadium, with the Tigers bound for the College Football Playoff with a victory and the Tar Heels still a contender for a spot as well.
