College Football Trends, Week 3

College football trends for Week 3

Special to OutKickTheCoverage.com courtesy of OddsShark.com

Georgia Tech has been money in the bank, while Louisville has been money out the door in its current role as home underdogs.

Those are two key findings of this week's mining of the OddsShark.com college football database.

Georgia Tech has covered nine straight spreads, while Louisville (a rare home dog) is just 1-8 SU and ATS since 2008 as a home underdog. They get six points tonight against Clemson.

Ohio State is 22-0 SU in franchise history against the MAC, but they face a Northern Illinois team that has excelled at beating the number against Big ten schools (9-1 ATS in its last 10 games). NIU gets a little wiggle room here from Vegas, currently sitting as 34.5-point dogs against the No. 1 team in the country and the prohibitive favorite in odds to win the national championship.

Like Florida State to cover nine points at Boston College? BC is 11-3 ATS since 1998 when getting seven or more points at home.
