College Football Playoff Semifinals Moved from Rose Bowl to AT&T Stadium

Given that the Rose Bowl would not be able to have fans, there have been many proponents of moving the game to somewhere that will allow them. Those people will be happy to learn that the game has officially been moved to AT&T Stadium outside Dallas.

Here is the official announcement:

This makes all the sense in the world. Now, not only will players’ families be able to take in the game — there should be a good amount of fans as well. Good job by Jerry Jones to be flexible and seize this opportunity.

This is obviously a bummer because the sun setting on the Rose Bowl is one of the iconic sports moments of the year, but this was the right thing to do for everyone involved.

    • I’m going to say what we aren’t supposed to…. the quiet part out loud —> Due to the never ending blue block voters pouring in illegally from south of the border, California will remain deep blue & malfunctioning.

As comedian Adam Corolla correctly stated: “ Newsome is an apex predator. Prowling about in a Democratic super majority with no predators in the wild.” 🙁

    • LULZ. Anybody blowing out the fAggies would be a great joy, but not a great game.

The Rose Bowl, for lack of a better phrase, can give a blowie to a pillowcase full of hammers. Nobody gives two craps about the parade, and their scheduling shenanigans over the last few decades that screw other teams and bowls have left me decidedly in the “I’d rather watch Dancing with the Stars” camp.” The Pac 12 has been a has-been conference nationally since LSU wiped the floor with them in 2011. The Big10 is relevant outside of Ohio State every four years. WOOO! Stanford vs . Iowa, oorah!

The Rose Bowl is as relevant as the “old” Cotton Bowl is. An excuse to ruin a day off of work, where you don’t even feel justified getting drunk for the game.

    • Yeah. For A&M. I’d hate to subject Clemson to the most delusional and ill accomplished fan base in all the land in their home state. Aggie getting a huge break if so.

  1. If the CFP and ESPN had a spine, this is the year moving forward that they take back control of the playoffs from the “Grandaddy.” The CFP games should be Jan 1 no matter what the rotation. No Rose Bowl at 4pm on New Year’s Day? Well no, not if isn’t their year to host one of the semifinals. Grow a set you commie pinko bastards and let the Rose Bowl know that CFP games won’t be played at 3pm on Dec 31 anymore because of their precious sunsets. If they have a problem with it, tell them to relocate their game from the People’ s Republic of California…forever.

  2. This is rich, not only are blue voting lefties fleeing to Texas due to their own corruption and shit stew, they are now wanting Texas to absorb the events and pageants that they can no longer have due to the corrupt policies and mandates. How long before Disneyland slaps their sign on Six Flags and hopes no one notices. Just sick. California is so great it has to outsource its people and events.
