College Football Championship Odds

Special to Outkick The Coverage from OddsShark.com

Despite losing arguably the two best running backs in the country from last season, the Alabama Crimson Tide and Ohio State Buckeyes are listed as +700 co-favorites to win the 2017 College Football Playoff Championship.

Alabama topped Clemson for the 2016 title behind Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry, who rushed for a school-record 2,219 yards and 28 touchdowns before getting selected by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the NFL Draft.

The Buckeyes lost Ezekiel Elliott (1,821 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns) to the Dallas Cowboys in the first round, as he was chosen with the fourth overall pick. Elliott led Ohio State to the 2015 national championship and will be one of the toughest players for head coach Urban Meyer to replace in 2016 along with defensive end Joey Bosa (26 sacks in three seasons), who was picked third overall by the San Diego Chargers.

The Tigers are right behind the Tide and Buckeyes at +800, and they return their best player in quarterback Deshaun Watson. The junior finished third in last year's Heisman voting behind Henry and Stanford Cardinal running back Christian McCaffrey, and both of them are among the favorites to win the award this season. McCaffrey is also a junior, and his Cardinal team is +2000 to win the 2017 CFP Championship.

Season win totals have also been released for Alabama, Florida State, Clemson, Tennessee and others.
