Cleveland Player Threatens To Opt Out If Mike Clevinger, Zach Plesac Stay On Roster

A night out on the town for Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac is now the source for tension in the Cleveland Indians locker room. Not entirely sure who -- outside of these two -- would want to go outside in Chicago right now ... Maybe Jussie Smollett?

These two pitchers broke team protocol and that infuriated teammates. A closed door meeting was held Friday which lead to their "dismissal from the team for at least 10 days."

They were allegedly "scolded" by teammates during a "testy meeting".

Let's cut the $hit

Asking the average American to wake up, go directly to work, then drive (without detour) home... would be lunacy. That has suddenly become the criteria for our professional athletes who have astronomically more options than us? It is unfortunate for Clevinger and Plesac, but their teammates did expect them to live that lifestyle.

America's new obsession with protecting our neighbors is becoming a polarizing discussion. This is why the Cleveland Indians face a tough decision over the futures of both talented arms.

If Cleveland folds to the pressure and looks into trading them, expect suiters to line up like San Franciscans for the new iPhone. If they banish them to the minors for an extended punishment does it signal the team is giving up on the season?

There are plenty of ramifications but if the Tribe choose to deal on Clevinger and Plesac, it should also see what is on the block for Francisco Lindor and get the rebuild on.
