During OutKick the Show on Friday, owner Clay Travis discussed everything from the Carson Wentz trade to the idea of full sports stadiums.
Also, stressing the sense of normalcy that was lacking from the NFL season, Clay spoke to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi about the return of baseball.
“I’m cautiously optimistic that baseball is going to be the first sport back almost entirely feeling normal,” Clay said. “I don’t know when, in July or August, that it will happen, but I think there will be a team in July or August that says, ‘We’re selling as many tickets as we can.'”
Clay also spoke with ESPN’s and SirusXM’s Frank Isola about who got the better end of the Wentz trade, and how the QB’s success may depend on Colts head coach Frank Reich.
With two blockbuster NFL trades this offseason, Clay talked about the similarities between the Rams’ trade in sending Jared Goff to the Lions and the Thursday deal to send Wentz to the Colts.
“These are two guys that have been rewarded with big money contracts at the quarterback position that both teams have ended up regretting,” Clay said.
The return of MLB and the Wentz trade weren’t the only things on Clay’s mind, though. Listen to the full podcast below!
