News website Judicial Watch reported it has obtained records showing that the allergy and infectious diseases department under Dr. Anthony Fauci gave a Wuhan Lab $826,277 for bat-related coronavirus research, and OutKick’s Clay Travis says Fauci should be canned immediately.
The report from Judicial Watch revealed 280 pages of documents from the Department of Health and Human Services that showed “from 2014 to 2019, $826,277 was given to the Wuhan Institute of Virology for bat coronavirus research by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), which is headed by Dr. Anthony Fauci.”
This truly is enough to take down Fauci, and Clay tweeted that’s precisely what should happen.
“Pretty big incentive here for Dr. Fauci to claim there’s no way COVID escaped from a Chinese lab,” Clay wrote. “Fauci has to be fired immediately. And we need a 9/11 style bipartisan investigation into how COVID originated and what role our tax dollars paid in that emergence.”
It will be interesting to see how the mainstream media reacts to these documents. Given its recent history of Fauci coverage, the story will likely be treated as much ado about nothing.
“This is exactly what a free and independent press should exist for — to investigate major stories like these and inform the public of the truth,” Clay wrote earlier this week. “Instead our press mostly exists now as PR agents for the powerful.”
Fauci definitely had incentive to downplay (and essentially dismiss) the lab leak theory given him & his friends ties to the WIV. Although over 5 years $826k isn’t that much cheddar, it’s absolutely a terrible look that our tax dollar went into funding something that almost certainly (at this point) caused the pandemic.
However, if China really wanted to play with viruses and/or create a bioweapon I’m sure they could do so w/out foreign GoFundMe contributions. It’s not like China is strapped for $$ and wouldn’t be able to do it alone.
Dr Fauci just might get suicided.
So at the end of the day Dr. Tony, you took nearly a million dollars in taxpayer money and funneled it to China so they could develop a bio-weapon that would be used to unleash (either accidentally or on purpose) a virus on the world. Your political usefulness to the current administration is seemingly nearing its end and the media doesn’t like you enough to engage in ongoing damage control for you. So, what is your next move?
