Clay: Mac Jones, Patriots Are NFL Draft Winners

The NFL Draft is over, and everyone has their own picks of winners and losers. Among the biggest winners, according to OutKick founder Clay Travis, are Mac Jones and the New England Patriots.

Jones is coming off a national championship as the quarterback at Alabama. He fell to the Patriots at No. 15 overall. And that's a win-win, Clay says.

"To me, Mac Jones is in the best spot of anybody," he says. "The Patriots did what the Patriots always seem to do, which is just wait for everything to fall perfectly for them.”

Jones himself seems to agree, telling reporters he "secretly" hoped the Patriots would draft him all along.

“At the end of the day, you kinda just want to get the right fit," Jones told the media. "So I’m actually really happy that it happened.”
