OutKick’s Clay Travis again joined Shannon Bream on Fox News @ Night, this time to discuss the ridiculous controversy surrounding the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ nickname. Actually, it’s less “controversy” and more “bored Washington Post writer making up crap to try to be relevant.”
“Is she gonna find out about the Pittsburgh Pirates, because when she does, uh oh, this is trouble,” Clay said with more than a hint of sarcasm. “Eventually you get to the point of absurdity, which we’re well past right now. Are you going to change the Notre Dame Fighting Irish because some Irish people are angry about that? What about the Vikings up in Minnesota? How about the Raiders down in Las Vegas? … All of this is insane.”
Along with the nickname madness, Clay addressed several other topics, from Dan Rather whining about the post-Super Bowl celebration in Tampa to an LA Times writer panicking over Donald Trump supporters politely plowing snow from her driveway. Check out the entire conversation below.
