Clay: Carson Wentz Traded, Ted Cruz In Cancun, Fernando Tatis Jr. Contract, And More

Videos by OutKick

The big sports news of the day is Carson Wentz being traded to the Indianapolis Colts. Some believe it was a home run move to reunite Frank Reich with his former quarterback, while others think the Colts got worse.

So, where does OutKick owner Clay Travis land on it? Well, he gave his thoughts during Thursday’s edition of OutKick the Show. First off, he believes Wentz could give Indianapolis something similar to what it got out of Philip Rivers this past season.

It’s a matter of recapturing form, but at least we know he’s capable.

“Once you have proven that you can play at a high level, I’m more optimistic that you can get back there,” Clay said before discussing the difference between Wentz and Cam Newton.

Wentz wasn’t the only thing on Clay’s mind, though. He also got into other topics such as the Fernando Tatis Jr. contract, Ted Cruz visiting Cancun and the backlash it has caused, and a whole lot more.

It’s definitely worth checking out below!

    • Hannity interviewed Cruz last night. Cruz said that the moment he got on the plane, he started having second thoughts. My guess is his instincts were telling him not to go, but he went anyway, and then turned around and came back the next morning. He should’ve just taken his wife and kids to the airport and dropped them off while he stayed in Texas. In the grand scheme of things, this is a grain of sand on a beach. But of course, the left wing media will make a big deal of it.
