Clay: Biden Administration Looks Entirely Incapable Of Defending Taiwan

Videos by OutKick

Given the mess in Afghanistan, the Biden administration is proving to be weak-kneed when it comes to foreign policy. So there’s no reason to believe the U.S. will be able to offer support to Taiwan in its own mess with communist China, says OutKick founder Clay Travis.

“Based on what you have seen in Afghanistan, do you feel at all confident that this administration is capable of defending Taiwan?” Clay asks in his latest video. “I don’t.”

That’s not all.

“Do you feel at all confident that Joe Biden can even make a good decision, right now, at 78 years old?” Clay asks. “… This is a massive, massive mess.”

Clay continues on, explaining the situation involving Taiwan and China, and saying that there’s no reason to believe Biden has a grasp on how the U.S. should be involved.

You can check out his entire take in the video below.

  1. Comparing Taiwan to Afghanistan is like comparing an apple to a steak. Defending Afghanistan was being done with money, not troops. We essentially stopped paying folks there so they stopped fighting for us. Pretty simple actually.

    • When will folks understand that it’s not about whether we should or shouldn’t have left. It’s how we left. I along with most people I know think we should have left long ago but you don’t just pack the car and leave the kids behind.
